My name is Margoth Avila and I was born in the City of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. I studied Journalism at the Universidad Evangélica Boliviana. As a journalist I have covered different areas such as Economy, Society and Politics. I have worked in the newspaper El Día and Revista Supremazía, among others. In 2014 I decided to settle in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. From there I have worked as a News Collaborator for the Fundación Por Igual Más (2014 - 2017) and Community Manager for Pymes. In 2019 I ventured into documentary photography covering different events of a social nature. The Motivarte Photography School and the Image Cooperative are some of the places where I have taken photographic courses and workshops. Currently I carry out independent projects that stand out for transmitting social problems, people and their stories.
Mi nombre es Margoth Avila y nací en la Ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Estudié Periodismo en la Universidad Evangélica Boliviana. Como periodista he cubierto diferentes áreas como Economía, Sociedad y Política. He trabajado en el periódico El Día y Revista Supremazía, entre otros. En el año 2014 decidí radicarme en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. A partir de ahí he trabajado como Colaboradora de Noticias para la Fundación Por Igual Más (2014 - 2017) y Community Manager para Pymes. En 2019 incursioné en la fotografía documental cubriendo diferentes eventos de carácter social. La Escuela de Fotografía Motivarte y la Cooperativa de la Imagen, son algunos los espacios donde he realizado cursos y talleres fotográficos. En la actualidad llevo adelante proyectos independientes que se destacan por transmitir problemáticas sociales, las personas y sus historias.
